The Yorkie Poo is a mix between two dog breeds, the Yorkshire Terrier and the Miniature Poodle.   

Since both parent breeds are non-shedding and hypoallergenic, these hybrids are as well.  So these make great pets for people who have dog allergies. 

These dogs are great with other dogs and make great family dogs.   

Common Names 

Yorkie Poo Puppies are also commonly called Porkies, Pookies, and Yorkiedoodles.  But you can call them whatever you want! 

Popularity 

One of the main reasons why these dogs are so popular, besides being cute and small, is that they are non-shedding and hypoallergenic. 

Appearance 

There size is obviously small, about the size of a Yorkie, and their hair coat tends to be similar to a poodle, but still is soft and silky.   

Because it is a mix between a dog breed with straight hair, and one with curly hair, the puppies can have either straight, curly, wavy, or a combination of these. 

Hair coat:  The coat color can vary widely as well, since poodles come in many different colors. 

Ears:  The ears can vary.  They might droop down like a Poodle’s or stand up like a Yorkie. 

Weight:  The weight of Yorkie Poo Puppies varies a lot but in general by adulthood they weigh about 6 to 12 pounds. 

Grooming 

Yorkie Poo Puppies need to be groomed on a regular basis.  This helps to prevent matting of the hair, which is difficult to get out.  Also their ears need cleaning and plucking as well. 

Personality 

The personality of these puppies make them great for families.  Although people with small children should be careful.
